Warranty Policy
Consumer Rights & Product Guarantee · SHVDE
Last updated: 4 September 2026
1. Your Statutory Rights
This warranty policy applies to products purchased directly from SHVDE and is in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights, which cannot be excluded or limited. All appliances sold by SHVDE must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described.
2. Warranty Period and Coverage Scope
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have a 30-day short-term right to reject faulty goods from the day after delivery for a full refund. You also have a separate 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 to cancel your order for any reason. For defects discovered after 30 days, you are entitled to a repair or replacement, and if that fails, a price reduction or final right to reject. You have up to six years to bring a claim for breach of contract in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, or five years in Scotland.
3. What Is Covered
- Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship
- Damage during transit (must be reported within 24 hours of delivery)
- Incorrect appliances shipped
- Goods not matching the description on our website
Approved claims are resolved via repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
4. What Is Not Covered
- Damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse, or failure to follow the manufacturer's instructions
- Damage caused by you or a third party after delivery
- Normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality
- Faults arising from unauthorised repairs or modifications
- Damage caused by environmental factors such as fire, flood, or power surges (unless the appliance was not fit for purpose)
5. Warranty Claim Process
- Contact our support team by phone or email as soon as you discover a fault
- Provide your order number, delivery date, and a description of the issue with photographic evidence if possible
- We will review your claim and may request further information or arrange an inspection
- Once approved, we will arrange repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate
6. Remedy and Resolution
We will provide a repair, replacement, or refund depending on the nature of the fault and your preference. For faulty goods reported within 30 days of delivery, you have the right to reject the appliance for a full refund. For faults reported after 30 days, we will first offer a repair or replacement, and if that is not possible or fails, a price reduction or final right to reject.
7. Return and Inspection
Return shipping is paid by us for all valid warranty claims relating to faulty, damaged, or mis-described goods. For change-of-mind returns within the 14-day cooling-off period, you are responsible for the cost of return shipping unless the goods are faulty. We will arrange collection for large appliances where appropriate.
8. Manufacturer Warranty Coordination
Many appliances come with a manufacturer's warranty in addition to your statutory rights and our own returns policy. We will coordinate with manufacturers where applicable to ensure you receive the full benefit of any extended warranty coverage. Manufacturer warranties do not replace or limit your statutory rights.
9. Safety and Compliance
All appliances sold by SHVDE meet applicable UK safety and performance standards. We comply with the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 and other relevant product safety legislation. If you have any safety concerns about an appliance, contact us immediately.
10. Commercial Orders
Bulk or trade orders may be subject to separate terms. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 does not apply to business-to-business transactions, which are governed by the Sale of Goods Act 1979. Please contact us to discuss warranty arrangements for commercial purchases.
11. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under UK law. Subject to that, our liability under this warranty is limited to the purchase price of the appliance. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as loss of profit or loss of business opportunity.
12. Warranty Transfer
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply to you as the original purchaser. This warranty policy is personal to you and is non-transferable. If you sell or give the appliance to someone else, they may have rights against the manufacturer under any manufacturer's warranty, but not under this policy.
13. Record Keeping
Please retain your order confirmation email, delivery note, and any other purchase documentation, as you will need to provide proof of purchase when making a warranty claim. We recommend photographing the appliance and packaging on arrival in case you need to report transit damage.
